The Jewish community built a synagogue in 1886 , which was destroyed during World War II. The Jewish community had belonged to the Israelite consistorial district of Metz since 1808 .

graveyards

There are three Jewish cemeteries in Sierck-les-Bains. The first was probably built in the 17th century and is surrounded by the walls of the castle grounds. The second cemetery was established around 1720 on Rue Cardinal Billot. Around 100 tombstones ( Mazevot ) are still preserved on it. The third Jewish cemetery was established on the same street in 1820. These cemeteries also served as burial sites for Jews from the following places: Montenach , Mondorf , Sentzich , Fixem , Monneren , Koenigsmacker , Cattenom , Gandren and Gavisse .
