Jaïro Riedewald (born September 9, 1996 in Amsterdam ) is a Dutch football player who is used as a defender in central defense or as a left full -back. He has been under contract with Crystal Palace since the 2017/18 season .

As a teenager and as an adult at Ajax

Jaïro Riedewald started playing football at SV Overbos and moved to the youth training center of Ajax Amsterdam via HFC Haarlem . After he had already been used for the reserve team, Riedewald made his debut as an A-youth on December 22, 2013 in a 2-2 away game against Roda JC Kerkrade at the age of 17 in the Eredivisie , where he played in the 80th minute With a score of 0: 1 he was substituted on and turned the game around with his first two goals for the professional team.
