Johann Heinrich Arnold
Johann Heinrich Arnold (* 1697 in Fürth ; † 1770 in Karlsruhe ) was a foreman from Baden.
Life
Arnold was originally a carpenter in Karlsruhe since 1721. In 1729, as a foreman, he became a member of the building administration in the margraviate of Baden-Durlach , where he was promoted to master builder with the rank of accountant in 1743. In 1752 he took over the princely building supervision as chamber councilor . In 1755 he became a member of the margravial building authority . As an architect, Arnold has designed numerous plans for churches and secular buildings in the margraviate, mostly responsible for renovations and extensions. In addition, he also worked as an executive builder.
