John Boland (politician)

John Boland (born November 30, 1944 in Dublin , † August 14, 2000 ) was an Irish politician of the Fine Gael .

From 1969 to 1977 he was a member of the Seanad Éireann . He was then from 1977 to 1989 Member of Parliament ( Teachta Dála ) in the Dáil Éireann . On the 22nd day, Boland was Minister of Education from June 30, 1981 to March 9, 1982. On the 24th day he was Minister of Public Service from December 14, 1982 to February 14, 1986. He was then Environment Minister from February 14, 1986 to March 10, 1987, and subsequently held the post of Minister of Health from January 20, 1987 to March 10 of the same year.
