The collision European Championships in 2013 were a billiards tournament in the category carom and found from 12 to 21 April 2013 in the Steel Palace in Brandenburg an der Havel instead. The game was played in 18 different classes, disciplines and table sizes.

On June 25th, 2011 the CEB Congress decided at a conference in Northern Cyprus to have the EM take place in Brandenburg / Havel every 2 years. As in previous years, Brandenburg remains the Mecca of European carom sport.

The special thing about this tournament was its sheer size. Never before have all disciplines, all age groups and all genders been united in one tournament in carom sport. The number of participants was over 500, the city had even assumed 700 participants in advance. The game was played on 20  boards (12 match billiards, 8 small billiards) simultaneously from 9:30 in the morning to midnight at the highest level. Approx. 60% of the participants came from the professional sector, the rest were amateurs. To make an event of this size run smoothly, around 80 referees and an additional 80 helpers were needed.

The expected participants were the Greek defending champion Filipos Kasidokostas , the Belgian world number one Frédéric Caudron , the Dutch world champion Dick Jaspers and the best German Martin Horn , but other European elite players had not missed this tournament either.

Logo design

In order to give the tournament an "individual face" for identification, the Essen graphic artist Fabian Rosmaity was hired to design the logo .

The disciplines free game , cadre 47/2 , cadre 71/2, cover , three cushion , art kick (Billard Artistique) and 5-cone billiards were played at match billiards , at small billiards only free game and three cushion.
