The German three-band Championship 2012/13 was a Karambolageturnier in the discipline three cushion and found in the 25 to 28 October Bad Wildungen instead.

Tournament commentary

Defending champion was Martin Horn from Essen. Along with world champion Christian Rudolph from Cologne, he was one of the title contenders. Art pushing world champion Thomas Ahrens also wanted to play successfully in the finals. He succeeded, but lost in the quarterfinals against the eventual winner Rudolph. Dortmund's Markus Dömer only managed to place second in the group stage, as he had to admit defeat by 27:30 in his game against Ahrens. In the final, the two favorites Horn and Rudolph faced each other. It went extremely tight with 40:38 in favor of Cologne.

mode

The participants were divided into eight groups (A – H) of three players each. It was played to 30 points in round robin mode. The respective group winners reached the quarter-finals of the final round. There was then played on 40 points in the knockout system . There were four match billiards available which were played simultaneously. Follow-ups were allowed throughout the tournament.
