The German three-cushion championship in 1932 was the fourth edition of this tournament series and took place from April 21 to 23 in Solingen , North Rhine-Westphalia .
history
For the first time two German championships were played within one year. This tournament belonged to the 1931/32 season, with the second championship already belonging to the subsequent 1932/33 season. After Otto Unshelm won the second championship in 1930 and finished second in the previous year, he secured the title of best German player for the second time. This was not to change until 1935. Defending champion Georg Berrisch only stayed second this time, as in the next three championships. With eight points, Berrisch set the record set by Willy Willems in 1930 in the highest series (HS) and with a best individual average (BED) of 0.980 he was the first player to come very close to the magic mark of 1,000, which was also an unofficial world record. This record was only to fall in 1947, also in Solingen, by August Tiedtke . The winner of the first championship in 1929, B. Kesting, took part in the tournament again for the first time, but only came in the thankless fourth place. This was also due to the fact that he had withdrawn to his estate near Münster and Münster did not offer him the opportunity to train.
mode
It played "everyone against everyone" ( round robin mode ) to 50 points.
