The German three-cushion championship 1990/91 (DDM) was the 57th edition of this tournament series and took place from January 17th to 20th, 1991 in St. Wendel .

history

The local organizer and host on behalf of the German Billiards Association (DBB) was BC St. Wendel. The tournament was played in the Saalbau St. Wendel.

Hans-Jürgen Kühl from Essen successfully defended the three-cushion title he won last year in St. Wendel. Hamburg's Maximo Aguirre provided the big surprise. The German-Peruvian won the silver medal ahead of Christian Rudolph from Düsseldorf , who delivered the best tournament performance.

mode

The tournament was played for the first time in the double knockout system. Here there was a winning round in which the last two remaining contested the final. The losers in the first round were able to qualify for the game for third place via the losers round. The whole tournament was played in the set system up to 15 points with two winning sets and three winning sets with follow-up in the final . The final placement was based on the following criteria:
