The German Three Cushion Championship 1964 (DDM) was the 31st edition of this tournament series and took place from January 2nd to 5th in Münster , North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

For the first time, the DDM was held in the Billard Academy in Münster. Again series winner August Tiedtke did not take part. The defending champion Ernst Rudolph from Cologne was able to prevail again against the competition and take home his sixth three-cushion title. But it wasn't easy for Rudolph in the last game against Hans Ritschel, who was third from Munich and last year. The man from Cologne quickly led by 59:50 and the tournament management saw him as the winner again. His first match ball failed and Ritschel scored at 59:51, Rudolph was missing again and Munich scored at 59:52. The same thing was repeated seven more times (59:59). Ritschel was at the table and could make out that it looked like a game of play, but this time the Munich player was missing and Rudolph was finally able to convert his match point and get the title.

mode

It played "everyone against everyone" ( round robin mode ) to 60 points with a push .
