The German Three Cushion Championship 1937 (DDM) was the ninth edition of this tournament series and took place from March 11th to 13th in Essen , North Rhine-Westphalia .

history

It was the first German championship that was played with an after- shot ( equal intake). For the first time since 1930, the five-time title winner Otto Unshelm did not take part in the tournament. For the second time in a row, defending champion August Tiedtke won, again without losing power. He again secured the tournament records in the general average (GD) and individual average (ED), but the highest series (HS) of eight was played by runner-up Erich Stoewe and Willy Willems. The three-time runner-up (1933-1935), Georg Berrisch, landed in fifth place. Championship newcomer Franz Hahn finished last without a win.

mode

It played "everyone against everyone" ( round-robin mode ) to 50 points with a push.
