Kirsti Sparboe (born December 7, 1946 in Tromsø ) is a Norwegian pop singer and actress .

After completing a commercial apprenticeship, she worked as a secretary. She performed in a dance band, took singing lessons and received her first record deal at the age of 17. With her first single Ballerina , she was successful in Norway and Sweden in 1964. In 1965 she took part in the Eurovision Song Contest for Norway with Karusell for the first time , but remained unsuccessful, as was her participation in 1967 and 1969.

At the end of the 1960s she entered the German charts under the name "Kirsti" with her hits produced by Telefunken . She had her greatest success in the Federal Republic with the title A Student from Uppsala , with which she was represented in the German charts for 14 weeks in 1969. In 1970 she took part with Pierre, the Clochard, in the German preliminary decision for the Grand Prix, but could not qualify. With the singles Die loyal Husaren , Herzklopfen , I forgot my heart in Essen , Pierre, the Clochard , Mr. Christopher Brown and Napoleon and Josephine , she was able to place in some radio hit parades. She also worked in some film productions.
