history

Parish before the merger in 1969

Krillberg was first mentioned as Crilleberch in 1244 . In 1392 Krillberg was an abbot-Saint-Gallic fiefdom that belonged to the Aster von Wil family. After 1449 Krillberg came to the Fischingen monastery and remained in the possession of the same as part of the Tannegger office until 1798. In church terms, Krillberg has always been part of Wängi.

Since the Winterthur – Wil road was moved down into the valley in 1842, Krillberg has been off the beaten track. The most important branch of business has always been agriculture.
