The 2001/02 LHJMQ season was the 33rd season of the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec . The regular season with 72 games for each of the 16 teams began on September 13, 2001 and ended on March 19, 2002. The playoffs started on March 21, 2002 and ended with the first Coupe-du-Président win of the Victoriaville Tigres on March 12 , 2002 May 2002, who prevailed in the LHJMQ final against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan .

Playoffs
The 14 teams with the highest points in the league qualified for the playoffs, with only two teams not being represented at the finals. The two conference winners Shawinigan Cataractes and Acadie-Bathurst Titan received a bye for the round of 16 and only entered the playoffs for the quarter-final series.
