The women's high jump at the 1958 European Athletics Championships was held on August 21, 1958 in the Stockholm Olympic Stadium.

European champion was the Romanian Iolanda Balaș , who began to dominate for a decade with her first success at an international championship. She won before Taissija Tschentschik from the USSR. The British Dorothy Shirley won the bronze medal.
