Individual evidence

  1. The nomination of Albert Peter Burleigh , proposed as successor to Thomas C. Hubbard, on May 26, 1999, was not discussed in the US Senate and was ultimately withdrawn, so that acting ambassadors subsequently held the function from July 2000 to February 2002.
