Large, simple hall church, 1723–53 under the direction of master mason Balthasar Neumann, tower 1749–53 after a crack by Pastor M. Christ. Laurentius from Wehlen, in 1782 the small western hall was extended to the stairwell and the pulpit was moved over the altar, in 1873 the choir was enlarged, in 1904 the staircase in the south was extended by the architect Woldemar Kandler from Dresden. Restoration in 1851. Plastered quarry stone building with just closing choir and sacristy extension, saddle roof and simple arched portal. Square two-storey west tower with a high eight-sided bell storey, hood and lantern. The inside flattened over a throat. Simple two-storey wooden galleries on three sides, the upper gallery running around. On the north side the manor's box with two large arched openings and the Huldenberg crypt. In addition to the galleries, the effect of the room is determined by the delightful wooden pulpit altar, built around 1750: three-cranked pilasters of Corinthian order carry the volutes that swing out to the side of the pulpit door, which in turn support the pulpit top decorated with vines with a halo above, while a putto carries the polygonal pulpit. The sarcophagus-like wooden canteen is decorated with leaf hangings and palm branches. To the left of the altar above a sacristy door the epitaph of Daniel Erasmus Freiherrn von Huldenburg († 1733), as a knight bust in the arched niche of an aedicula with the Huldenberg coat of arms under the triangular gable. On the opposite side of the altar above a sacristy door the epitaph of Gottlob Erasmus Kurt Freiherrn von Huldenburg († 1812): the expressive, larger than life plaster bust of a young man stands in a round arched niche with Huldenberg's coat of arms above it. Organ, Opus 1 by Hermann Eule, 1873, rebuilt in 1941. Sundial.

Observation tower with triangulation stone, 1st order station Karl-Berger-Straße 18 (on the Valtenberg )
(map)
1856–1857 (observation tower); marked 1864–1866 (triangulation column) Totality of the Royal Saxon Triangulation ("European degree measurement in the Kingdom of Saxony"); Station 6 Valtenberg; King Johann Tower (Valtenbergturm); The observation tower is of importance in terms of building history and local history, the triangulation point is of importance in terms of surveying history. Inscription on the observation tower “Bauführer.M.Bachmann G.Wobst G.Richter L.Richter Erbaut i. Year 1856. Inaugurated d. July 1, 1857 ".

In the period from 1862 to 1890, a land survey was carried out in the Kingdom of Saxony, in which two triangular networks were formed. On the one hand, there is the network for grade measurement in the Kingdom of Saxony (network I. class / order) with 36 points and the royal Saxon triangulation (network II. Class / order) with 122 points. This national survey was led by Prof. Christian August Nagel, according to which the triangulation columns are also referred to as "Nagelsche columns". This surveying system was one of the most modern layer networks in Germany. The surveying columns set for this purpose remained almost entirely in their original locations. They are an impressive testimony to the history of land surveying in Germany and in Saxony. The system of surveying columns of both orders is in its entirety a cultural monument of supraregional importance. The stone König-Johann-Turm was inaugurated on July 1st, 1857 on the highest elevation of the Lusatian mountains. In 1864, Nagel decided that the tower would be ideally suited for the construction of a first-order station and in 1864 had a pillar built on the southwest corner of the platform of the tower and surrounded by a wooden stand. To improve the security of observation, the wooden scaffolding was dismantled in September 1866 under the direction of assistant Helmert and the pillar was moved to the middle of the western wall of the platform and provided with a walkway. In 1868 observations took place at the surrounding stations. In 1959, astronomical measurements were made. The pillar is made of granite from Valtenberg and has an inscription that has been used up on a recessed surface. The inscription reads: "Station / VALTENBERG / der / Mitteleuropean / Gradmessage / K.Sachsen. / 1864". The cover plate lies on the pillar without screwing. When the tower was renovated before the 150th anniversary in 2007, structural changes were made in the area of the platform. Four brackets for the safety glass are also attached to the historic station pillar.
