Elsterheide coat of arms

The list of cultural monuments in Elsterheide contains the cultural monuments of the Saxon community of Elsterheide that were recorded by the State Office for Monument Preservation of Saxony until June 2017 (excluding archaeological cultural monuments). The notes are to be observed.

This list is a partial list of the list of cultural monuments in the Bautzen district .

Marked 1673 Half-timbered church, hall church with 3/8 end, gable roof and boarded-up west tower, of importance in terms of building history, local history and shaping the townscape. Solid base, three-bar ladder framework with head struts; two-storey, boarded lattice tower with a slate-covered helmet, hall with hipped gable roof with beaver-tail crown covering, leaded glass window in the choir; Entrance gate: wooden construction, with a gable roof covered with beaver tail.

Charming hall church from 1673, restored in 1956. The half-timbered building with 3/8 end and gable roof. Square, boarded-up, two-storey west tower with an octagonal bell storey. Inside, flat wooden ceiling on two wooden central supports. The single-storey galleries on three sides, drawn forward to the choir polygon on the south side. Equipment from the time of construction: simple pulpit altar, between half-columns the polygonal pulpit with depiction of the crucifixion. Octagonal baptism, made of wood with corner pillars on a pillar shaft, writing cartouches and decorative fittings. High quality, mounted wooden sculpture of a standing Madonna, around 1420/30. Charming group of a crowning Virgin, wood, early 16th century.

  • War memorial 1 (of the municipality of Scado, which was demolished by mining): on brick step, two steps made of red sandstone, base with corner ports, stele with inscriptions, honor wreath, upper end sphere on which an eagle sits
  • War memorial 2: granite stele on granite base, darker inscription plaque, eagle in relief, crowned with "iron cross"
  • Soviet grave: granite stone placed in the shape of a desk

Simple hall church from the 15th century, of which the groin vaulted sacristy on the north side and the lower part of the west tower have been preserved. Completely renovated in the baroque style in 1678/79. Plastered field stone building with 3/8 end. Square west tower with an octagonal bell storey and a curved dome. The charming interior with a flat wooden ceiling, the furnishings from 1678. Ceiling, galleries and stalls with tendril paintings. Altar retable, 1697 by Hanns Tatzer from Laubusch, in the predella a painting depicting the Last Supper, above a painted crucifixion, on the sides turned columns with painted laurel tendrils. Octagonal pulpit also decorated with tendrils.

Around 1940 (bunker); 1956/1958 (single bunker); 1950s (enclosure and warehouses) Part of an original police camp, built by prisoners of the Black Pump, of regional historical significance, one of the few large-scale systems of this type still preserved in Saxony.
  • Single bunker, so-called atomic bunker: concrete structure built at an angle with a large two-winged gate and steel door, with a jamb-like attachment with ventilation slots, tower-like structure; interesting and excitingly structured structure
  • 11 bunkers on a street:
    • Bunker 1: concrete retaining walls tapering to the left and right of the entrance, entrance with concrete wall and steel door, left and right on the bunker mound each a brick chimney with a brick top and cover plate
    • Bunker 2: side retaining walls, roofing in front of the entrance creates an anteroom in front of the double-leaf gate, chimneys as in Bunker 1
    • Bunker 3 to 11: like bunker 2
    • Bunker 11, inside: behind the entrance door, small anteroom, then steel door with back grating, interior divided into three room sections by two transverse concrete girders with supports, room size about 160 m² (according to information)
  • Three storage buildings: single-storey structure red plastered, monopitch roof, in the roof area at the front numerous wooden support struts to the roof, in between windows with glass bricks (set back), two symmetrically arranged double-wing steel doors, painted lime green in color contrast to the red plaster, a ramp with in front of the building an exit
  • Two storage buildings: almost identical to previous buildings, windows here flush with the wall surface, three symmetrically arranged steel gates
  • Concrete wall (signal fence) around the entire area with towers in exposed places; Wall: Supports with U-shaped recesses on the sides, concrete segment slabs inserted into them, supports protrude outward beyond the actual wall, power lines in between
  • Tower at the main entrance: two-storey plastered building with balcony-like access and staircase, upper storey windowed on all sides
  • So-called inner fence still partially preserved
  • The direct current system originally installed between the wall and the inner fence no longer exists
