The Miss Europe 2017 competition was the second run by the Miss Europe Organization (MEO). It was initially based in London and moved to Edinburgh in 2017 .

The beauty competition was not held from 2007 to 2015. A continuity to the competitions of a previous organizer and to its winners is obviously intended to establish the crown that the winner receives. On the website of the Miss Europe Organization you can see the title holder from 2016 and three previous misses with this crown (more like a diadem ).

The candidates had been selected in their countries of origin by national organizing committees that had concluded license agreements with MEO.

The event took place on May 13, 2017 in the South Korean capital Seoul - and thus at the most distant location from Europe. There were up to 50 applicants.
