Mojkowo ( German Annahof ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship and belongs to the Gmina Reszel ( urban and rural community Rößel ) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ).
Geographical location
Mojkowo is located in the northern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship , three kilometers southeast of the former district town of Rößel ( Reszel in Polish ) and 13 kilometers southwest of today's district metropolis Kętrzyn ( German Rastenburg ).
history
Today's Mojkowo was built as a large courtyard and was called Abbau Schulz . From June 9, 1863, it was named "Annahof" and until 1945 was a residential area within the municipality of Klawsdorf ( Polish: Klewno ) in the district of Rößel in the administrative district of Königsberg (from 1905: administrative district of Allenstein ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia . In 1885 Annahof had 72 inhabitants, and in 1905 it had 64 inhabitants.
When all of southern East Prussia fell to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war , Annahof was also affected. It received the Polish name form "Mojkowo" and is today as a hamlet ( Polish Osada ) a place within the urban and rural community Reszel (Rößel) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship associated.

Until 1945, Annahof was parish in the Protestant Church of Rößel in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic parish of Rößel in the then diocese of Ermland .
Today Mojkowo still belongs to the Catholic parish in Reszel, now part of the Archdiocese of Warmia . On the evangelical side, the church members orientate themselves towards the Johanneskirche Kętrzyn in the diocese Masuria of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .

Mojkowo is located east of Voivodship Road 594 and can be reached via a cul-de-sac from Ramty ( German Ramten ). There is no rail link.
