Wólka Pilecka ( German  Stechernsruh ) is a small community in the Polish Warmia and Mazury and belongs to Gmina Reszel ( urban and rural community Rößel ) in kętrzyn county (county Rastenburg ).

Geographical location

Wólka Pilecka is located in the northern center of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , eleven kilometers southwest of the district town of Kętrzyn ( German  Rastenburg ).

history

The place, founded around 1810 and called Stechersruh , originally consisted of a large courtyard with an outbuilding. Around 1820 Stechertshöfchen was "a royal establishment with 1 fireplace ... The owner was Stechert ". 1874 Stechernsruhe in the District Rehstall ( Polish Stachowizna ) incorporated, which the county Rastenburg in the administrative district of Kaliningrad in the Prussian province of East Prussia belonged.

In 1820 Stechernsruh had 20, in 1885 15 and in 1905 it had 50 inhabitants. On October 25, 1921, the place lost its independence and was incorporated into the rural community of Pülz ( Pilec in Polish ).

When all of southern East Prussia fell to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war , Stechernsruh was also affected. It received the Polish name form "Wólka Pilec" and is now a place within the urban and rural community Reszel (Rößel) in the powiat Kętrzyński ( Rastenburg district ), until 1998 the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then it belongs to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Until 1945 Stechernsruh was parish in the Protestant church Bäslack ( Polish Bezławki ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church Heiligelinde (Polish Święta Lipka ) in the then diocese of Warmia . Today Wólka Pilecka belongs to the Protestant Johanneskirche Kętrzyn (Rastenburg) in the Masuria diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland and to the Catholic parish Wilkowo (Wilkendorf) - with the branch church in Bezławki - in today's Archdiocese of Warmia within the Polish Catholic Church .
