Mordkommission was a 26-part ZDF pre-evening series that was produced in two seasons of 13 episodes in 1973/74 and broadcast in 1975.
action
The Munich criminal police under Chief Inspector Georg Wieker are investigating various homicides in the Bavarian capital. Wieker's criminalistic abilities earned him the nickname "The Magician" among his colleagues . In the first season he heads the homicide squad, in the second he is promoted to "coordinator" and solves most of the cases from his desk.
Others
Since Wieker can clarify the majority of the cases in the presidium, the series comes up with a few exterior shots. The interior shots were shot in the studios of the television studio Munich Atelierbetriebs-GmbH in Unterföhring. There were special studio cameras for this purpose under the direction of Alois Nitsche. The camera work for the exterior shots was in the hands of Bernhard Stebich (season 1) and Wolfgang Schallon (season 2).
Both squadrons have in common the large number of investigating officers and other continuous role figures.
Fritz Strassner , seen in the second season as KHK Rosskamp, already had a guest role in the episode Confession in season 1. In episode 25 of the second season ( Capers of Society ) Carola Regnier , the eldest daughter of Charles Regnier and Pamela Wedekind , took part. The most frequent guest actor was Götz Olaf Rausch with four appearances in both seasons.
This series has nothing to do with the ZDF series of the same name , which was created in the late 1990s and was broadcast from 1998 to 2000.

Reviews
The crime thriller website judges this series as unflattering : On the one hand, the "studio flair" is criticized, on the other hand props, such as B. a rubber hand clearly recognizable as such, which protrudes from the earth in one episode. At the end of a career , it is the obvious head of a mannequin "with a wig from the special offer" that gives rise to involuntary comedy. The conviction expressed by director Kurt Wilhelm in an interview with a TV magazine that he has produced a "decent competitor product " for the series Der Kommissar is almost "grotesque" . Literal conclusion of the crime thriller homepage : "Absolute trash, only suitable for fans of studio flair and die- hard Charles Regnier fans!"
The television lexicon cuts into a similar notch: "Wieker lets the suspects dance one after the other in his office and predominantly combines them from his desk. This is the fastest way (and the cheapest in the production of the series), because actually all that matters is that the files can disappear in the closet. "
