NGC 1368 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Eridanus in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 420 million light years from the Milky Way and about 100,000 light years in diameter.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 1354 , NGC 1372 , NGC 1388 , IC 1975 .
The object was discovered by Francis Leavenworth on November 12, 1885 .
