NGC 5105 is a 12.1 likes bright barred spiral galaxy of Hubble type SBc in the constellation Virgo to the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 125 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 75,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 5088 , NGC 5099 , NGC 5110 , IC 4235 .
The Type II supernova SN 2007W was observed here.
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on June 3, 1886 .
