NGC 5525 is a 12.8 may bright lenticular Seyfert galaxy (type 2) from the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Bootes . It is estimated to be 249 million light years from the Milky Way and about 110,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Édouard Stephan on May 3, 1883 .
