NGC 5534 , also NGC 5534A called, is a 12.3 likes bright barred spiral galaxy with pronounced emission lines from the Hubble type SBab in the constellation Virgo and about 115 million light-years from the Milky Way center.
Together with the non-NGC object PGC 51057, it forms an interacting double galaxy and was discovered by Wilhelm Tempel on April 29, 1881 .
