NGC 5528 is a 14.1 mag bright spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Bear Keeper in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 327 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 140,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 5535 , NGC 5539 , NGC 5543 , NGC 5546 .
The object was discovered by Lewis A. Swift on March 23, 1887 .
