Querbruch nature reserve in the Antfeld forest
The Querbruch nature reserve in the Antfeld forest with a size of 45.3 hectares is located in the Upper Arnsberg Forest north of Esshoff in the urban area of Olsberg in the Hochsauerlandkreis . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2004 with the Olsberg landscape plan . The NSG consists of two areas. The NSG is only separated by the area of the Antfeld forester's house. The city of Warstein borders directly to the north .
Area description
The NSG is the Querbruch with alder forest and brook.
Protection purpose
The NSG is intended to protect the break with species inventory.
As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation pointed out that the area became a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
