Böde Bruch nature reserve

The Böde Bruch nature reserve with a size of 15.7  hectares is located in the Upper Arnsberg Forest in the northern urban area of Olsberg in the Hochsauerland district . The area was designated as a nature reserve (NSG) by the Hochsauerlandkreis in 2004 with the Olsberg landscape plan . The city of Warstein borders directly to the west . The city of Brilon borders in the east . In the urban area of ​​Brilon, one of the two parts of the Böde Bruch and Rehhacken nature reserve begins at the border .

Area description

The NSG trades alder and birch forests.

Protection purpose

The NSG is supposed to protect the forest and its species inventory.

As with all nature reserves in Germany, the protection designation pointed out that the area became a nature reserve “because of the rarity, special character and beauty of the area”.
