Nikolai Alexejewitsch Karassjow
Nikolai Alexejewitsch Karassjow ( Russian: Николай Алексеевич Карасёв , English transcription Nikolay Karasyov; born November 29, 1939 in Moscow ) is a former Russian - Soviet shot putter .
At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he was sixth.
In 1965 he won silver at the Universiade and in 1966 at the European Athletics Championships in Budapest .
He won the European Indoor Games in Parg in 1967 and won bronze in Madrid in 1968 . In 1969 he finished eighth at the European Championships in Athens .
He was five times Soviet champion (1964-1967, 1969). He set his personal best of 19.74 m on July 23, 1970 in Leningrad .
