Reijo Ståhlberg

Reijo Ståhlberg ( Reijo Einar Ståhlberg ; born September 21, 1952 in Ekenäs ) is a former Finnish shot putter .

In 1974 he was eleventh at the European Athletics Championships in Rome and in 1976 twelfth at the Olympic Games in Montreal . In 1978 he won the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Milan and was fifth at the European Championships in Prague .

Another gold medal at the European Indoor Championships in 1979 in Vienna and a silver medal at the Universiade in the same year was followed by fourth place at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow.

In 1981 in Grenoble he was European indoor champion for the third time, and in 1982 he was ninth at the European Championships in Athens .

Nine times he was Finnish outdoor champion (1973, 1974, 1976-1982) and six times indoors (1973, 1976, 1977, 1979, 1981, 1982).
