Nowa Boćwinka ( German  Neu Bodschwingken , 1938 to 1945 Neu Herandstal ) is a small settlement (colony) in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the urban and rural municipality Gołdap (Goldap) in the Gołdap district.

Nowa Boćwinka is located in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. 12 kilometers southwest of the district town of Gołdap (Goldap) . The place, which before 1945 consisted only of smaller farms and farmsteads, was founded in 1819. In the first few years it was called Bärendorf .

June 3rd / 16th In July 1938 the neighboring town of Alt Bodschwingken and Neu Bodschwingken were merged to form the new rural municipality of Herandstal, with the villages receiving the names Alt and Neu Herandstal as districts .

As a result of the war, the community came to Poland in 1945. The district of Neu Herandstal was made independent again and received the Polish name form "Nowa Boćwinka". Today the settlement is part of the Gołdap urban and rural community in the Gołdapski powiat, until 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it has belonged to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.

The Protestant part of the population was parish in the parish of the Church of Grabowen (1938 to 1945: Arnswald, Polish: Grabowo) in the parish of Goldap within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . After 1945, their parish church also became the place of worship for the Catholics living in Nowa Boćwinka . While the Catholic residents were oriented towards Goldap before 1945, after 1945 the Protestant church members Nowa Boćwinkas belonged to the parish in the district town, now a subsidiary parish of the Suwałki parish in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

Nowa Boćwinka can be reached from the side road from Gołdap via Skocze ( Skötschen , 1938 to 1945 Grönfleet ) to Boćwinka ( Alt Bodschwingken , 1938 to 1945 Alt Herandstal ) via a spur road directly into town. A railway connection existed until 1945 via the Alt Bodschwingken station on the Angerburg – Goldap railway line , which was destroyed in the war and not reopened.
