Jeziorki Małe ( German Klein Jesziorken , 1938 to 1945 Kleinschöntal ) is a small place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the urban and rural municipality Gołdap (Goldap) in the Gołdap district.
Geographical location
Jeziorki Małe is located in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, ten kilometers southwest of the district town.
history
The place Klein Jesziorken was on the old settlement site in 1827 as a place of residence of Jesziorken, which was then renamed Groß Jesziorken . Until 1945, the mother community belonged to the Altenbude district in the Goldap district in the Gumbinnen administrative district of the Prussian province of East Prussia . After it was renamed “Schöntal” on December 4, 1930, a few years later the town of Klein Jesziorken was renamed “Kleinschöntal”.
When southern East Prussia came to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war, Kleinschöntal was given the Polish name "Jeziorki Małe" and became an independent village. Today, the small village is part of the Gołdap urban and rural community in the Gołdapski powiat, until 1998 of the Suwałki Voivodeship , and since then it has belonged to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.
religion
On the evangelical side , Klein Jesziorken belonged to the parish of the Church of Grabowen (1938 to 1945: Arnswald, Polish: Grabowo) in the parish of Goldap within the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union . Evangelical church members living here have belonged to the parish in Gołdap, a branch of the Suwałki parish in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland, since 1945 .
Nothing has changed for the Catholic church members: before and after 1945 the village was and is oriented towards the parish in the district town, which used to belong to the Diocese of Warmia , today it belongs to the Diocese of Ełk (Lyck) of the Catholic Church in Poland .
traffic
Jeziorki Małe is located west of the Polish voivodship road DW 650 (former German Reichsstrasse 136 ) and can be reached from Grabowo (Grabowen , 1938 to 1945 Arnswald) . The eastern edge of the village is crossed by the route of the no longer in operation Angerburg – Goldap railway .
