Zatyki ( German  Satticken ) is a village in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship . It belongs to the Gołdap City and Country Commune in the Gołdap District .

Geographical location

Zatyki is located in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship on the eastern slope of the Seesker Höhe (Polish: Wzgórza Szeskie). The district town of Gołdap is ten kilometers to the north-west.

history

The little village originally called Sabrowski was founded before 1570. In 1874 the place came to the newly established administrative district Gurnen (Polish: Górne), which existed until 1945 and belonged to the district of Goldap in the administrative district of Gumbinnen in the Prussian province of East Prussia .

161 residents were registered in Satticken in 1910. Their number rose to 187 by 1933 and was 166 in 1939.

As a result of the war, Satticken and southern East Prussia were assigned to Poland in 1945 . Since then the village has been called "Zatyki". Today it is the seat of a Schulzenamt (Polish: Sołectwo) in the network of the city ​​and rural municipality Gołdap in the powiat Gołdapski in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .
