Oberschweinach is a district of the city of Neustadt an der Aisch in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is located on the Schweinachbach, a right tributary of the Aisch . Approx. 0.25 km north of the town lies the hackers forest , about 0.5 km southwest of the lens field and about 0.75 km south the forest area lens Cross . Communal roads lead to Unterschweinach (1.1 km west), to a communal road at Herrnneuses (1.9 km east) and to state road 2255 (0.2 km south-east), which leads to Neustadt (3 km north-west) and Schellert (1 , 5 km south).

history

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 5 properties in Oberschweinach. The high court was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth city ​​bailiff Neustadt an der Aisch . The village and township government had the steward Birkenfeld held. The landlords were the Principality of Bayreuth (Birkenfeld Monastery: 2 half courtyards, Münchaurach Monastery Office : 2 estates) and the Stübach manor (1 estate).

As part of the municipal edict , Oberschweinach was assigned to the Oberroßbach tax district formed in 1811 . It also belonged to the rural community of Oberroßbach, founded in 1813 . With the second community edict (1818) it was re- grouped into the newly founded rural community of Unterschweinach . On July 1, 1969, before the regional reform in Bavaria , Oberschweinach was incorporated into Neustadt an der Aisch.
