Altobeli da Silva (2016) won the silver medal

The men's 5000-meter run at the 2019 Pan American Games took place on August 6 at the Villa Deportiva Nacional in the Peruvian capital, Lima .

Twelve runners from nine countries took part in the run. The gold medal was won by Fernando Daniel Martinez after 13: 53.87 min, silver went to Altobeli da Silva with 13: 54.42 min and the bronze medal was won by Carlos Díaz with 13: 54.43 min.
