Rüdiger Kruger

Rüdiger Krüger (born December 12, 1951 in Darmstadt ) is a German (old) Germanist , writer , education and culture manager . He lives in Werther (Westphalia) and works in Rheda-Wiedenbrück . He publishes his literary writings under the pseudonym Siegfried Carl .

education and profession

After his higher education entrance qualification, which he passed in 1971 at the Albert Einstein High School in Böblingen , Krüger studied German , philosophy and history at the University of Stuttgart ; he completed his studies in 1979 with the scientific examination for teaching at grammar schools . In addition, he worked in the nursing and educational field - among other things as a research assistant and then as a research assistant at the Institute for Literary Studies at the University of Stuttgart (1976–1980), as a German teacher at the Ferdinand-Porsche-Gymnasium in Stuttgart- Zuffenhausen (1978–1979) and as a lecturer and for five years as a research assistant in the subjects German , school practice and play and theater education at the Ludwigsburg University of education (1978-1987). In 2003 he returned to the Institute for Cultural Management at the PH in Ludwigsburg as a lecturer for quality management in cultural and educational establishments .

From 1980 Krüger worked as a lecturer for German Medieval Studies at the University of Stuttgart, where he received his doctorate in 1986 within the Philosophical Faculty with a thesis on the so-called Younger Titurel (see under the independent scientific publications). Later he was again a lecturer for German Medieval Studies at the University of Karlsruhe (1989–1997) and a substitute research assistant at the Institute for German Language and Literature at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main (1999–2000). From 1980 to 2000, Krüger was often employed in teacher training in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse and Bavaria. Since the 2015/16 winter semester, Krüger has been teaching lied as a lecturer at the Detmold University of Music .

Krüger has been an EFQM assessor since the end of the 90s (at CERTQUA in 1998, renewed at ILEP in 2004) and has been involved in the Ludwig Erhard Prize initiative on a voluntary basis since 2005 . Since 2009 he has been their local representative for the Gütersloh / OWL district.

From 1987 to 1997 Krüger was the pedagogical director and managing director of VHS Oberes Enztal e. V. based in Bad Wildbad (the educational institution has meanwhile been integrated into the VHS Calw ). From 2000 to 2020 he was head of the VHS Reckenberg-Ems, the association of the municipalities of Rheda-Wiedenbrück , Rietberg , Herzebrock-Clarholz and Langenberg , based in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, and since 2004 also managing director of the Reckenberg-Ems training academy (FARE ) gGmbH, a subsidiary of VHS Reckenberg-Ems. Since 2012 the VHS Reckenberg-Ems has outsourced the operational part to a gGmbH ; since then Krüger has been VHS manager of the VHS-Zweckverband-Gesamtcompany and managing director of the two subsidiaries. In August 2020, Rüdiger Krüger retired.

Cultural management

From 1985 to 1986 Krüger was managing director of the Ludwigsburg Palace Festival . In 1988 he co-founded the Rossini Music Festival in Wildbad in Bad Wildbad, of which he was organizational director from 1988 to 1991. From 1992 to 1994 he took on the organizational and artistic advice of the Rossini Opera Festival Rügen in Putbus and from 1999 to 2001 the dramaturgical advice of the Bad Herrenalb summer theater , for which he wrote a total of three texts on open-air theater productions under his pseudonym Siegfried Carl - the so-called "Herrenalb Trilogy "(see below) - authored. Since 2000 he has been artistic director of the Flora-Klassik-Sommer and the VHS master concerts in Rheda-Wiedenbrück (until 2009), since 2009 of the musica da camera series (in the winter season) and from 2011 to 2013 of the Harmonie-Musik-Festival the Maalot quintet (in May) - each with chamber music in the orangery at Rheda Castle .

Scientific publications

Krüger's scientific publications deal predominantly with (old) Germanistic, aesthetic, cultural-historical as well as didactic and (adult) educational topics. As editor, he took on the editorial support of a wide variety of publications, including in the field of new media. He also regularly writes newspaper and magazine articles as well as reviews on various topics.

Rüdiger Krüger writes and publishes his literary and fictional writings (especially poetry, plays and opera libretti) under his pseudonym Siegfried Carl. His topics often revolve around his own fields of German studies and history .

Poetry is the secular and therefore contemporary form of prayer: the poem is a conversation of emotions and intellect with you; in laughter and crying, plea and curse, lament and accusation, thanks and 'worship'.
