Route

The Berlin – Copenhagen cycle route is a long- distance cycle route in the German states of Berlin , Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, as well as in Denmark . It runs over a length of 650 km from Berlin via Oranienburg , Fürstenberg / Havel , Waren (Müritz) and Rostock to Copenhagen . About 315 km of the route run in Denmark. With ferries that must Baltic Sea between Rostock and Gedser and the Grønsund in Stubbekøbing be crossed. The cycle path is part of the EuroVelo route 7 from the North Cape to Malta and the D route 11 from Rostock to Salzburg . At the Berlin / Brandenburg border, it runs together with the Berlin Wall Trail . The logo of the cycle path only shows the route in Germany. In Denmark the cycle route is signposted as national route 9 Helsingør –Gedser.

- Zehdenick – Fürstenberg (42 km): Zehdenick , Mildenberg , Neuglobsow , Fürstenberg / Havel
Mecklenburg stage (255 km):
- Fürstenberg – Neustrelitz (50 km): Fürstenberg / Havel , Wesenberg , Neustrelitz
- Neustrelitz – Waren (Müritz) (65 km): Neustrelitz , Kratzeburg , Groß Dratow , Waren (Müritz)
- Waren (Müritz) –Krakow am See (50 km): Waren (Müritz) , Jabel , Krakow am See
- Krakow am See – Bützow (45 km): Krakow am See , Güstrow , Bützow
- Bützow – Rostock (45 km): Bützow , Schwaan , Pölchow , Rostock

Signage and guidance
The long-distance cycle path is laid out in such a way that you are mainly guided on separate cycle paths away from the streets or side streets with very little traffic.
The signposting of the cycle path is divided into two sections:
- In Germany, the cycle path is signposted with blue, white and red symbols with the label Radweg Berlin – Copenhagen .
- In Denmark the cycle path is congruent with national route 9 and is therefore also signposted after it.
