Jonas Flodager Rasmussen (born November 28, 1985 in Viborg ) is a Danish singer .

Rasmussen studied music and dramaturgy at Aarhus University , after which he became active as a musical performer and singer for the 1980s pop-rock cover band Hair Metal Heröes . As the winner of the Eurovision preliminary decision Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2018 , he competed for Denmark with the folk-pop title Higher Ground at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 . The title was written and composed by the two Swedish songwriters Niclas Arn and Karl Eurén. He reached the 9th place.

In addition to his appearances, Rasmussen teaches at the Performing Arts School of the Viborg Cultural School and as a theater and writing teacher at Aarhus Theater Learning.

Private

Rasmussen is married and lives in Langå with his wife and two children .
