Riverbend is a census-designated place (CDP) in King County , Washington state . As of the 2010 United States Census , it had a population of 2,132. On the basis of per capita income , one of the more reliable criteria for prosperity, Riverbend ranks 87th among all 522 places in Washington state.

Riverbend is at 47 ° 28'11 "N / 121 ° 45'15" W. According to the United States Census Bureau , the CDP occupies a total of 7.8 km²; Water surfaces are not included.

Demographics

As of the 2000 census , there were 2,230 residents, 775 households, and 612 families in Riverbend. The population density was 286 per km². There were 791 housing units at an average density of 101.5 per km².

The population was 94.48% White , 0.27% African American , 0.54% Native American , 1.75% Asian , 0.18% Pacific Islander , 1.26% from other "races" and 1.52% from two or more "races" . Hispanics or Latinos of "any race" made up 2.6% of the population.

Of the 775 households, 48% had children under the age of 18, 68.6% were run by married couples living together, and 7.4% by single mothers; 21% were non-families. 14.6% of the households were singles and 2.2% were single persons over 65 years of age. The average household size was 2.88 and the average family size was 3.23.

The median age in the city was 34 years. 31.5% of the population were under 18, 5.5% between 18 and 24, 39.8% between 25 and 44, 19.1% between 45 and 64 and 4.1 65 years or older. There were 105.3 men for every 100 women, and 102.1 men for every 100 women over the age of 18.

All information on median income relates to the median. The median household income was US $ 69,716 compared to US $ 72,708 for families. Men had a median income of US $ 56,173 compared to US $ 34,516 for women. The per capita income was US $ 25,234. About 3.7% of families and 4% of the total population lived below the poverty line ; this affected 8% of the under 18 year olds and none of the over 65 year olds.
