Medina is a city in King County in western Washington state . The city is located on the east bank of Lake Washington around 10 kilometers east of downtown Seattle and is part of its metropolitan area . With the Governor Albert D. Rosellini Bridge — Evergreen Point , the longest floating bridge in the world connected the town over Lake Washington with Seattle until 2016.

The approximately 3,000 inhabitants of the medina, which is surrounded by water to the north, west and south, are considered to be extremely wealthy with an average per capita income of US $ 81,742 . Accordingly, the cityscape is characterized by many elegant houses and villas.
