history
Rzyszczewo is an old Germanic settlement and was already inhabited 3000 years ago. The urns found in stone box graves in 1928 and 1930 prove this. The place was first mentioned in the 14th century - as a fief of the von Wolde family . In the following years the owners changed with the names von Bonin , von Versen and von Kleist .
In 1864 Ristow had 150 inhabitants. The owner of the manor was Wilhelm Krüger. It was released for settlement purposes in 1889 and settled with 15 farmers.
In 1939 there were 167 citizens in Ristow, 148 of whom worked in agriculture and forestry and 12 in handicrafts.
Until 1945 the village belonged to the district of Belgard (Persante) and formed with Boissin , Naffin and Zarnefanz the district of Zarnefanz. Regarding the registry office, Ristow, like the whole Zarnefanz office, was oriented towards Lenzen . The competent district court was Belgard .
The last incumbents before 1945 were mayor Richard Borghardt, mayor Franz Wilhelm and registrar Conrad Brunn. The police services were with Oberlandjäger Daske in Boissin.
On March 8, 1945, Ristow was occupied by Soviet troops without fighting . However, one woman and seventeen men, including Mayor Borghardt, were shot by the soldiers. The German population was evacuated to Vietzow . Ristow came to Poland and today as Rzyszczewo it belongs to the rural community of Białogard.
church
Ristow belonged to the parish Boissin until 1945 and with this and the neighboring parishes Zarnefanz and Lenzen to the parish Lenzen in the parish of Belgard, which belonged to the church province of Pomerania of the Protestant Church of the Old Prussian Union .
Today Rzyszczewo is part of the parish Koszalin ( Köslin ) in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church .
school
Ristow had its own school as early as 1792. For a long time, however, the Ristow children had to go to Boissin for lessons, until it was moved back to their own school in 1903. In 1914 Ristow got a new, large school building.
