Count's Palace and St. Peter's Church

San Martino in Pensilis is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 4694 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Campobasso in Molise . The municipality is located about 45 kilometers northwest of Campobasso and borders directly on the province of Foggia . The north-western boundary of the municipality forms the Biferno . It is 10 kilometers to the northwest to the Adriatic.

history

With the destruction of Cliternia in 495 AD, the earlier inhabitants founded a church, which they dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours. In 1125 and 1456 the place was largely destroyed by earthquakes.
