Santa Croce di Magliano is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4199 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Campobasso in Molise . The municipality is located about 31.5 kilometers northeast of Campobasso and borders directly on the province of Foggia ( Apulia ). The Fortore forms the eastern boundary of the municipality.

The place is first mentioned in a document in 1266 as a fiefdom of the monastery of St. Eustachius in Pantasia.
