Ururi (in the Albanian dialect Rùri ) is an Italian commune ( comune ) with 2578 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Campobasso in Molise . The municipality is located about 41 kilometers northwest of Campobasso .

history

Originally, the name of the municipality came from a settlement called Aurora (also a document from 1075). The name is probably of Byzantine origin. Until modern times there was an Albanian-speaking minority in Ururi.
