St. Bernhard-Frauenhofen (also Sankt Bernhard-Frauenhofen ) is a municipality with 1288 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the Horn district in Lower Austria ( Austria ).

St. Bernhard-Frauenhofen is located in the Waldviertel in Lower Austria in the Taffa valley. The area of the municipality covers 29.45 square kilometers, about 21 percent of the area is forested.

history
The Cistercian convent of St. Bernhard was dissolved in 1586. From 1620 to 1773 the place was the seat of a Jesuit college.

With the decision of the Lower Austrian provincial government of August 20, 1975, the municipality of St. Bernhard-Frauenhofen was awarded a municipal coat of arms.
