Sanne-Kerkuhn is a village in the town of Arendsee (Altmark) in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

Sanne-Kerkuhn is located around 19 kilometers east of Salzwedel a little south of the federal highway 190 .

history

On July 1, 1950, Kerkuhn was incorporated into Sanne. The community was renamed Sanne-Kerkuhn on August 1, 1990.

On May 27, 2009, the municipal council of the municipality of Sanne-Kerkuhn decided by means of a territorial change agreement that the municipality of Sanne-Kerkuhn should be incorporated into the town of Arendsee (Altmark). This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010.

After the previously independent municipality of Sanne-Kerkuhn was incorporated, Kerkuhn and Sanne became districts of the city of Arendsee (Altmark). The local constitution was introduced for the incorporated municipality in accordance with §§ 86 ff. Municipality code of Saxony-Anhalt . The incorporated municipality of Sanne-Kerkuhn and future districts of Kerkuhn and Sanne became the locality of the receiving city of Arendsee (Altmark). A local council with five members including the local mayor was formed in the incorporated municipality and now the locality of Sanne-Kerkuhn.
