Sanne is a district of the unified municipality of the city ​​of Arendsee (Altmark) and the village of Sanne-Kerkuhn in the Altmark district of Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The Altmark Sanne, a village with a church, located eight kilometers southwest of Arendsee (Altmark). In the west of the village, the Sanne-Kerkuhn flood ditch flows over the Rademiner Fleetgraben into the Flötgraben. To the east of the village in a wooded area is the 31 meter high Butterberg.

history

Sanne was first mentioned in a document as villa Sannem when the council of the old town of Salzwedel sold a pension to the priest Johann Görtzke on November 30, 1324.

In the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375 the place is listed as Sannen .

In the southwest of the village on the right of the road to Fleetmark was a windmill .

Incorporations

On July 1, 1950, the municipality of Kerkuhn from the district of Osterburg was incorporated into the municipality of Sanne.

The municipality of Sanne was renamed Sanne-Kerkuhn on August 1, 1990.

On May 27, 2009, the municipal council of the municipality of Sanne-Kerkuhn decided by means of a territorial change agreement that the municipality of Sanne-Kerkuhn should be incorporated into the town of Arendsee (Altmark). This contract was approved by the county as the lower local supervisory authority and came into effect on January 1, 2010.

So the district of Sanne of the municipality of Sanne-Kehrkuhn (the original municipality of Sanne) came to the town of Arendsee (Altmark) and the newly formed village of Sanne-Kerkuhn on January 1, 2010.

Culture and sights

The Sanne field stone church was built in the 13th century. Wilhelm Zahn (pastor) thinks the church in Sanne was consecrated in 1230 by Bishop Wilhelm von Havelberg. Wenz found no evidence of this.

The Protestant church Sanne is now part of the parish Sanne-Kerkuhn-Thielbeer in the parish area Kleinau the church district Stendal in Propst Sprengel Stendal Magdeburg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

In 1903 the parish Sanne near Kallehne in the district of Osterburg belonged to the parishes of Sanne, Kerkuhn and Thielbeer, as well as the school community of Zühlen.
