Ritzleben is a district of the village of Binde and the town of Arendsee (Altmark) in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .
geography
The Altmark Kirchdorf Ritz life is around ten kilometers southwest of Arendsee lake and 13 kilometers east of the county town Salzwedel . The Klinkergraben flows east of the village and flows into the Flötgraben. There is a large wooded area to the west of the village.
history
In the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375 the place is listed as Richleue , the von Knesebeck had income here. In 1481 the place is named as Ritzleue in a document.
On January 1, 1974, the municipality of Ritzleben from the Salzwedel district was incorporated into the municipality of Binde. On January 1, 2010, Binde was incorporated into the town of Arendsee (Altmark). So the district of Ritzleben came to the new village of Binde and the city of Arendsee on the same day.

Culture and sights
In Ritzleben there is a late Gothic stone church with a rectangular west tower. It is a branch church of the Church of Mechau. During renovation work in 1961, late Gothic wall paintings were discovered in the church.

The Protestant parish Ritzleben belongs to the parish of Mechau, which belongs to the parish Fleetmark-Jeetze of the parish of Salzwedel in the provost district of Stendal-Magdeburg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
Economy and Infrastructure
Ritzleben is on the B 190 . Mechau station was on the Salzwedel – Geestgottberg railway line, which was closed in 2004 .
