Ladekath is a district of the town of Arendsee (Altmark) and the town of Rademin in the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

The Altmark charging Kath, one street village with church, located 15 kilometers southwest of Arendsee (Altmark) and 15 kilometers southeast of the county town Salzwedel . The Rademiner Graben flows to the west.

history

The village of Ladekath was first mentioned in 1280 as In villa latekote . Shortly afterwards on February 14, 1304 as in villa Latekat , when Hermann Wulf and his sons dedicate lifts from Ladekath to the sick in the hospital house of the Holy Spirit in Perver (in today's Salzwedel).

In the Landbuch der Mark Brandenburg from 1375, the place is listed as a load .

Ladekath originally belonged to von Bartensleben, who ceded the place to von der Schulenburg in 1383 .

The large stone grave Ladekath was destroyed in the 19th century.

Incorporations

On July 1, 1950, the municipality of Ladekath from the district of Salzwedel was incorporated into the municipality of Rademin .

With the incorporation of the municipality of Rademin into the town of Arendsee (Altmark) on January 1, 2011, the district of Ladekath became a district of the town of Arendsee (Altmark) and the new town of Rademin.

The Evangelical parish in Ladekath belonged to the parish of Ladekath until 1811. This was repealed by the Westphalian decree of January 6, 1811. Ladekath was united with the parish of Thüritz. Rademin was united with the parish of Klein Gartz. In 1827 Ladekath was also assigned to Klein Gartz as Filia.

In the pastor's book of the ecclesiastical province of Saxony, Ladekath is described as independent until 1821 and assigned to the parish of Klein Gartz in 1821.

Today the parish Ladekath belongs to the parish area Fleetmark-Jeetze of the parish of Salzwedel in the provost district of Stendal-Magdeburg of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
