Chess League 2011/12 (Austria)

The 2011/12 season was the 37th season of the Austrian Chess League . SV Rapid Feffernitz , SG Kufstein / Wörgl and SK Zwettl were promoted from the 2nd Bundesliga .

While Kufstein, together with ASVÖ Pöchlarn / Mauerbach and SK Royal Salzburg, had to relegate directly, Feffernitz and Zwettl managed to stay in the league. The defending champion Schachklub Jenbach had to settle for second place with 2.5 board points behind SK Baden .

Dates and venues

The competitions took place from January 20th to 22nd, 2012 in Vienna , from March 1st to 4th in Sankt Veit an der Glan and from April 19th to 22nd, 2012 in Jenbach .
